November Monthly Challenge

Well I have been sick the entire month of November and was diagnosed with bronchitis today, but promised DD I would enter this contest no matter what way back when it was announced. She has wanted a YuDu forever. So I made a project for my girls room. They have been sharing a room for the last year and so far it has been going pretty well. My oldest loves penguins and my youngest loves giraffes, hence the unusual combination.

I covered their old painted switch plate with patterned paper. Then I cut the giraffe from Animal Kingdom at 4" and the penguin from Joy of the Seasons at 2". I cut a set of leaves from the Chrysanthemum quilling set for the cuttlebug using green felt. I am going to cover it with clear contact paper before I put it on the wall. Very simple, but cute. My girls love it.

Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge Entry

Here is my entry for "Celebrating Creativity."  Imagination and Creativity combine to form the key to unlock a world of color that combines to tell the story and preserve the precious memories on the pages of my scrapbooks.  I have combined free-flowing images cut from my cricut with flowers and gems in all the colors of the rainbow.  All words are welded and shadowed using the Gypsy.  After having my Gypsy since the HSN, I have been "learning to love" it the several weeks.  I have forced myself to use it for these challenges and I can say I am glad that I have.  All of the design elements are adhered to a grey speckled, patterned background paper.   This is my first blog entry ever, so please be kind.  I have been putting my previous Challenge entries on my husband's Picasa Web Album, but I figured I could figure this out if I gave it a shot. So here goes.
